Mace Security International, Inc. Becomes Exclusive Distributor for UK Manufactured Buddi GPS Tracking System

Buddi manufactures a long battery life enhanced GPS device that the user simply wears as a pendant or belt clip. The device locates and reports the position of the wearer, allowing pushbutton panic alert and voice communication, inside or outside the home, school, or business.  While there are many similar devices on the market, most have limited battery life and location limitations.  The MaceBuddi device will be connected to Mace’s exclusive central monitoring station, where live operators will respond to and contact loved ones, first responders, and neighbors when emergency situations arise.

Dennis Raefield, Mace’s CEO and President stated, “For eighteen months, Mace has been researching GPS enabled devices that will track and report locations and panic request from users.  We have finally found a long lasting and durable unit with Buddi, and we are now the exclusive North American Distributor of the MaceBuddi locator device.  We expect this product and service (delivered through our Mace Central Station) to revolutionize the hospital patient wandering, Alzheimer/dementia patient tracking problem, and allow everyday people from children to senior citizens, to jog, hike, and go about their daily business knowing they are one pushbutton away from a human responder who will be able to summon emergency services to their precise location. This is a game changer for the US market.”

Sara Murray, founder of Buddi, said: “I am delighted to have a deal with Mace. Buddi is already being used widely across the UK by health authorities, police forces, and businesses, benefiting thousands of vulnerable people.  It is a natural step for us to now enter the US market, and we are excited about the future.”
