Mace Security International Launches Mace Cares Program

SOLON, OH (May 21, 2013)… Mace Security International, Inc. has established the Mace Cares program as a way to provide support and assistance for individuals at risk throughout our communities. Mace is committed to providing community support and charitable contributions that make a difference for our employees, their families, our consumers and the communities in which we live and work. In 2013, through the Mace Cares program, MSI will use a portion of proceeds from its Hot Pink line of pepper spray products—1%, up to $10,000—to make charitable donations to select organizations and sponsor events.

Through the program, Mace has pledged to be a corporate sponsor of the following organizations for 2013: National Center for Victims of Crime, Casting for Recovery and Project Against Violent Encounters (PAVE). All organizations are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and eligible to receive contributions deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes. Donations will be made in October to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Crime Prevention Month.

The Mace Cares program will be promoted on Hot Pink product packaging. Program information will be available at www.macecares.com on the web.
